Well, actually, there aren’t any wheels, just runners. It is however, candy apple red. Sleek curves, 0-as fast as mom or dad can run, in, well, as fast as we can run (which, on ice, isn’t really all that fast). Yes, yes, David received his Christmas present a day early. We were looking for a while for a nice sled, because we have seen so many people pushing their kids around the town on these little sleds with handle bars, and so we ventured down to the bazaar and started looking around.

Not surprisingly, we were able to find several different types, and this one seemed to be the best. It has a seat belt to strap him in, so we can really get him going. Also, the seat can be turned around to face forward or backward, which is important, we found out today. David much prefers to sit backwards, partly, we think partly because of the temperature (when it is 18 out, a breeze in the face is not really that great), and because he likes to watch us (he is probably laughing at us wearing ourselves out pushing him around). Nevertheless, he does seem to like it—and since most all young kids are going around Tver this way, we don’t get stared at in the same way as we do when we have him in the backpack.
